Eyewear Warranty Information

Eyeglasses are custom-made medical devices designed specifically for your prescription and visual needs.

Ordering Your Glasses

● A minimum deposit of 50% of the total order is required before eyewear can be ordered.

● If your insurance requires a third-party laboratory (such as VSP) to manufacture your eyewear, the balance must be paid in full at the time the order is placed.

● All balances must be paid in full before eyewear can be dispensed.

● Eyewear orders may be placed on hold for up to 30 days pending payment.

Using Your Existing Frame

Patients may choose to reuse their current frame for new lenses; however, Magnolia Place Eyecare cannot be responsible for frame breakage during the lens replacement process.

While we use the utmost care when handling your eyewear, frames naturally weaken over time. Plastic materials can become brittle, and metal frames may develop weakened solder points through normal wear.

If a frame breaks during processing, replacement of the frame and lenses will be the responsibility of the patient.

The decision to reuse a frame is at the discretion of our optical team. Even if a frame appears suitable for reuse, breakage or damage can still occur.

Magnolia Place Eyecare is not responsible for lost, broken, or damaged frames while being processed by either our in-house laboratory or any outside laboratory utilized for lens fabrication.

Changes to Eyewear Orders

Once prescription lenses have been ordered through our laboratory, changes may be difficult or impossible to make.

We will make every effort to accommodate requested changes; however, additional charges may apply if lens enhancements or treatments are added after the order has been submitted.

Examples include:

● Crizal® Anti-Reflective Coatings

● Transitions® Light-Adaptive Lenses

● Other specialty lens treatments

Because laboratory fees and manufacturing processes are irreversible, refunds cannot be provided for lens treatments that are removed after an order has been placed.

Prescription Requirements

A valid eyeglass prescription is required by law to purchase prescription eyewear.

Eyeglass prescriptions are valid for one year from the date of your examination.

Frame Warranty

Most frames purchased through Magnolia Place Eyecare include a one-time manufacturer warranty replacement within 12 months for covered defects such as:

● Broken temples

● Defective hinges

● Manufacturer-related nose pad failures

To qualify for warranty replacement:

● All pieces of the frame must be returned.

● Frames must be free from glue residue.

● Frames must not contain bite marks or evidence of misuse.

Lens Warranty

Many premium lenses with anti-reflective coatings include a one-year or two-year manufacturer warranty against scratching.

If your lenses become scratched during the warranty period, replacement lenses may be available according to manufacturer guidelines.

Some restrictions and exclusions apply.

Warranties do not cover:

● Lost eyewear

● Stolen eyewear

● Frames with teeth marks

● Intentional damage

● Abuse or misuse
